Since opening in July 2001, the American Airlines Center has set a new standard for sports and entertainment and has become the premier venue of the South. Its grand complex with sweeping vistas and inviting passages comprise five concourses, 112 luxury suites, 22 theater box suites, two 50 person "party" suites, and room for 18,532 hockey fans. American Airlines Center ranked number three in the United States for overal ticket sales in 2012 according to industry leading Pollstar publication.

Ice Surface: The slab beneath the ice contains eight miles of one-inch pipe and requires 10,000 gallons of water for one sheet of ice. The arena also has a 4,600-ton air conditioning system and a dehumidification system that extracts 500 gallons of moisture per hour.

--Lights: There are over 250 lights mounted in the ceiling of American Airlines Center. They feature Kevlar shutters which will allow for dimming and blackout conditions.

--Center Scoreboard: Four 30-feet wide by 18-feet high video displays with a true 1080 HD resolution. First true 1080 scoreboard to ever be installed in a NBA or NHL arena. Each main screen video display has 2,395,008 pixels. When coupled with the other display boards on the centerhung structure there are over 10,000,000 pixels total. The entire center scoreboard structure weighs over 67,000 pounds, and can be raised to the ceiling for concert load in and lowered to the floor for maintenance.

--Size: American Airlines Center encompasses 840,000 total square feet and features five concourses. The roof covers over four acres with more than one million bricks and 50,000 square feet of glass and glazing used in construction.

--Sound System: Over 1,000 JBL loudspeaker components comprise the various speaker cabinets throughout the bowl. The system is powered by 150 Crown Amplifiers. American Airlines Center is the only arena in the world to utilize a proprietary effects sound ring for a one of a kind partron experience. The sound system also features a LARES crowd enhancement system to help bring the trill of the lower seats to the crowd in the upper seats.

The Auto Assistance Program provides services for guests who experience minor automobile trouble, such as a lockout, dead battery or flat tire. The service is offered at Parking Services before, during and up to one hour after an event.

Automated teller machines are located on the Plaza Concourse behind sections 111 and 123, and outside of the building at the North box office. The Terrace Concourse has ATM machines behind sections 303 and 322, and the Platinum Concourse has one near section 214.

Non-flash, still photography for non-professional use is allowed within the arena as long as it does not interfere with aisles or other guest¹s enjoyment of the game. Unauthorized video or audio recording is strictly prohibited. Video cameras are not allowed inside American Airlines Center.

Guests are not allowed to bring into American Airlines Center any bottles, cans, beverages, food or coolers and containers. No alcoholic beverages will be served during the last twelve (12) minutes of the third period or during any overtime periods or intermissions that follow.

We believe Dallas Area Rapid Transit currently provides regular service to Victory Station at American Airlines Center via the Green Line. The Green Line operates regular service every 10-30 minutes, 7 days a week.

If you ride a Red Line or Blue Line train, simply ride to the West End Station and transfer to a westbound Green Line Train. Just prior to American Airlines Center events, some Red and Blue line trains go directly to Victory Station. The train's overhead destination sign will read, "Victory Station." If this is the case, keep your seat. You are on your way to Victory Station at the American Airlines Center!

The Designated Driver Program is designed to ensure guests a safe trip home from Stars games. Guests who pledge not to drink alcoholic beverages during the game may sign up at Guest Relations to receive a coupon for one free soft drink during the game they attend and may be eligible for promotional giveaway items.

American Airlines Center offers many services and amenities to accommodate the needs of our guests with disabilities. There is accessible seating in an integrated setting on all levels of the facility. Additional services include Braille signage, accessible and volume-enhanced pay telephones, TDD machines, Braille menus and accessible concessions counters.

American Airlines Center can also provide sign interpretation with appropriate notice. Listening devices are available free of charge with valid identification. Service animals (dogs only) are welcome inside American Airlines Center, but must remain on a leash or in a harness. An animal relief area is provided in Lot F.

All doors at American Airlines Center will open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. The Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Club patio entrance will open two (2) hours prior to the scheduled game time, but access to the concourse from the Club will be allowed 90 minutes prior to the scheduled game time.

American Airlines Center has eight passenger elevators available to transport guests. These elevators are located on the Plaza Concourse at sections 103, 111, 114 and 122.

American Airlines Center personnel have been trained to assist in emergency situations. Areas of Rescue Assistance are available and visual and audible alarms are located throughout the building for use in the event of an emergency. To have emergency messages delivered to your seat, outside parties can contact American Airlines Center at (214) 665-4299.

American Airlines Center can provide escorts to parking areas for guests with special needs. This service is free and can be requested through Guest Relations. To minimize your wait, we ask that you make arrangements for this service before the end of the game by visiting Guest Relations at Section 104 or by calling (214)-665-4535.

First aid stations are located on the Plaza Concourse at section 111 and on the Terrace Concourse at section 313. Guests in need of emergency first aid should contact the nearest American Airlines Center employee for medical assistance.

In order to maintain an enjoyable and safe environment, we request that all guests be courteous to those around them and abide by the NHL Fan Code of Conduct.

There is one drop-off and pick-up area on the west side of American Airlines Center on Valor Place. Limousines and buses will be allowed to drop off and pick up guests in this area but no vehicles will be permitted to park here.

American Airlines Guest Services representatives are trained to provide assistance with an understanding of how to accommodate the needs of all guests. Guest Relations is located on the Plaza Concourse at sections 104 and 114, and on the Terrace Concourse at section 326.

American Airlines Center features a number of services designed with the family in mind.

--Dr Pepper Fan Zone: Serving all season ticket holders, the Dr Pepper Fan Zone is an alcohol-free, family-oriented area located in the southwest corner of the Terrace Concourse outside sections 304-305. A fun atmosphere for young and old alike, you can access the Dr Pepper Fan Zone via escalators located on the east and west sides of the building. Open one hour prior to the start of the game until the final horn sounds, the Dr Pepper Fan Zone has a limited menu with Dr Pepper products also available for purchase.

--Lost Child Bands: The Lost Child Program is available to guests attending events with children. Fans are asked to register their children with Guest Services so that they can be easily found in the event that they¹re separated from their parents or guardians. The child will be given a wristband containing vital information. If a child is lost during an event, he or she will be brought to Guest Relations where a representative of American Airlines Center will use the information on the wristband to locate the parents or guardian. All children, ages two and up, must have a ticket to be admitted into the arena. Children under two without a ticket may not occupy a seat.

--Family Restrooms: American Airlines Center offers Unisex Family restrooms in the corners on every concourse. Baby changing stations are available in restrooms on all levels and concourses.

During all Stars games, found items will be immediately taken to Guest Relations. After each game, all items are stored for safe keeping by American Airlines Center security. To claim a lost article, visit Guest Services or call the American Airlines Center Lost and Found at (214) 665-4825.

Stars merchandise can be purchased at The Hangar locations within AAC, in addition to two locations on the Plaza Concourse. The Hangar - Platinum Level East is located on East concourse of Platinum Level, while The Hangar - Platinum Level West is located on the West concourse of Platinum Level. The Hangar will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On game days, both locations are open an hour and a half prior to game time and 30 minutes after the game. Merchandise can also be purchased at kiosks throughout American Airlines Center.

Merchandise can also be purchased at The Hangar - Victory Park, located just outside the south entrance in AT&T Plaza. The Hangar – Victory Park will be open Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday (in season) 12 (Noon) - 5 p.m., with extended hours for AAC events.


The Lexus Garage opens at 7:00 a.m. The Silver Garage, D Garage, and all American Airlines Center surface lots open two hours prior to puck drop.

Pass Parking
The Lexus Garage is located at the northeast corner of American Airlines Center, and the Silver Garage is located on the southwest corner. Blue Pass parking is available in Lot E on the northwest corner of American Airlines Center, and in Lot F on the north side for handicapped parking only. Green parking passes are accepted in lot B, south of American Airlines Center between Museum Way and High Market Street. Lot A parking is accessible from Victory Avenue on the west side of American Airlines Center.

Cash Parking
Cash parking is available for $15 in Lots B and M south of American Airlines Center on either side of Victory Avenue. Garage parking is available for $25 in the Lexus Garage on the east side or Silver Garage on the west side and for $20 in the D Garage south of American Airlines Center. Handicapped parking is available for cash patrons in the F Lot to the north of American Airlines Center for $15 or in the Lexus Garage for $25.

Lexus Driver Benefit
The Lexus Garage Basement through Level 3 is reserved for Lexus Reserve Pass parking. Lexus Garage Passes and cash parkers have access to Levels 4-6. However, as a benefit to Lexus drivers, Lexus vehicles utilizing Lexus Garage Pass or cash parking may also park on Level 3, subject to availability.

Group Parking
If you are parking by bus, the Dallas Stars have a preferred parking rate of $12 available through LAZ Parking located 0.7 miles from the arena. Busses may unload at the arena at the west doors off Valor Place. You may direct your bus driver to park at one of two locations: 1100 McKinney Ave., Dallas, TX 75201 or 1012 McKinney Ave., Dallas, TX 75201. They should select the Busses option on the screen and make payment via cash or credit card. A receipt will print that must be displayed on the dashboard.

Guests are not permitted to bring certain items into American Airlines Center, including flags/signs on sticks, bottles, cans, food, beverages, weapons or firearms, coolers or containers, fireworks, illegal substances and laser pointers, etc.

Artificial noisemakers are prohibited. Fans using artificial noisemakers will be asked to check the item and will be allowed to pick up the noisemaker from Guest Relations at Section 104 upon departure.

Guests may keep any puck that is deflected into the stands. Please be courteous to other guests when attempting to catch a puck. Made of a hard, galvanized rubber and traveling at a high rate of speed, pucks can cause injury. Please be aware of the puck at all times both while the action is occurring and during stoppages in play. Depending on the severity of a puck-related injury, guests may be asked to offer personal information to complete an incident report.

Re-entry into a game is allowed only at certain exits once the ticket is exit-scanned.

All American Airlines Center restaurants open two hours before the scheduled start of the game and will remain open until no later than one hour after the game.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside American Airlines Center. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building.

There are eight stairways located throughout the facility with each corner of the building having two stairways.

American Airlines Center Box Office is located on the northeast side of the arena. The box office is open Monday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm and closed on Sundays. On Dallas Stars home game days, the box office closes at the end of the 2nd period.

Tickets can be purchased using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Diners Club. All orders are subject to applicable service charges.

Will Call is located at the North Box Office at American Airlines Center. Any tickets placed at Will Call may only be picked up on the day of the game starting 2 hours prior to the game. For your protection, a valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets is required to pick up your Stars tickets.
